Which reseller package should a person take Linux or Windows.What are the advantages and disadvantages between them?

I would suggest you to choose windows because it is much batter then linux in many aspects

Being a reseller if you prefer Windows Hosting you may have a wider range of customers. People prefer Windows Hosting, since it supports many applications including asp.net and c#.net

Well personally I think a Linux Server operatingsystem works smooter, because you cant actually use it with remote desktop, only console. Therefor the OS itself will use less resources.

Because of the large amount of Microsoft Windows users, there is a much larger selection of available software programs, utilities, and games for Windows.
