Network Uptime vs Server Uptime Guarantee??

When looking for a hosting account do you differentiate between server and network uptime guarantee? I'm asking as usually hosts don't differentiate it in their TOS unlike Webhostigiant.com who separately states their server uptime and network uptime guarantee.

What does your host say about it?

I think a host can guarantee you any network uptime only if they are the owners of the datacenter and manage the network themselves.

Usually just one figure is given in the TOS, you will have the same if you get stats data of the monitoring services.

There's absolutey nothing special about network uptime figures being higher than server uptime, usually network is better supported and monitored, but at the end of the day the type of support which is called pro-active allows to increase the server uptime figure as well, you can see this type of support offered in Solidhost.com vps and dedicated plans.

Network uptime is more stable thing than server uptime that's why WebHostGiant.com differentiate them. And they are right doing that.

# 99.99% Network Uptime Guarantee
# 99.9% Server Uptime Guarantee
That's what WebHostGiant.com provides to their clients.
Surely network is more stable value than server. And it's quite normal as even big companies such as HostGator can't guarantee 100% server uptime.

I see that WebHostGiant.com provides SSL certificatу. Is it included into the package plans too or offered like a separate service?
Do they provide any discounts?

Is this offer from NameCheap.com time limited? I think only the clients of NameCheap may use PositiveSSL certificate.
As for WebHostGiant.com, should say their services are quality and low-priced.
Up to 256-bit encryption it's much enough.

DowntownHost.com, for example provides 100% network uptime guarantee.
I haven't seen such like offer from anybody else.
Their network must be rock-solid.

I wouldn't rely on this 100% figure as in reality it's really achievable ot a host should use expensive technologies which will make their services more expensive.
I think that figurwes offered in Webhostgiant.com TOS - 99,99% for network uptime and 99,9% for server uptime seem to be fairly reliable, what's more important is the mechanism that a provider implements for the situations when these guarantees are broken.

Web Hosting company do not provide 100% uptime guarantee.

At most, web hosting company will only unsure to the users that the uptime of the server will br 99%+, but not 100 % due to some catastrophe situation that might be happening.

and if the situation do happen, there are also some time needed to transfer the data from a servers to another servers.

Cheers!
