Exclamation Apache Failure

I have a server that has an apache failure about twice a week at 3:00 a.m. GMT - 6. It is a Linux Box with cPanel installed. When it crashes I cannot access anything and I have to reboot the whole machine to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could solve this problem.

Thanks,
Frogee

Have you checked the log files, do you find something strange there before the crash?

I would suggest to check for the error in the log file for apache crash. you can check the error in /var/log/httpd/error_log file. Also keep an eye on the apache processes running on the server. you van keep an eye on apache processes by following command,

#ps -aux | grep httpd | wc -l

Also apache need to be reconfigured if the apache processes are running at high end on server. You will have to chekc for standerd setting in terms of max connections on forums. You can also try google for the same.
