is shared Hosting Good or bad

What are the benefits of shared hosting? Surely the cost is much less than a dedicated server or co-location, but is sharing a server with others a safe thing to do if you depend on your website to earn a living?

There should not be any problem when your web host secures your data away from viruses and hackers by firewalls and security tools.

Hi,
It all depends on the type of website you want to host and also the
type of host you choose. If it is a small to medium size website it is
much cheaper option to choose shared hosting. On the other hand, if you
use a hosting company which oversells (i.e.: hosting more domains on a
single server than the server is capable of) it would be a non reliable
solution, with service outages/poor performance/etc.

I think Shared hosting is for customers who don't need the performance, privacy or support of a dedicated server. Shared hosting puts your web-site and e-mail on servers containing the web sites of other customers.

Shared hosting is a less expensive way for businesses to create a Web presence. It is usually not sufficient for sites with high traffic. It is the best choice for normal businesses and smaller ecommerce sites.

As on shared hosting you have to share the server with other users so there is less security and the chances of hacking also increases. You don't have better control on your hosting account.
Benefits: Lower cost, no need to buy the server and the most important thing is that the web host is responsible for the server maintenance and the installation and updating of the software.
