I just joined this forum to second what mick's gotta say...but for other reasons. I joined up in September and put a phpBB forum...i found it to be a lot slower then ALL the other forums I'm on but didn't think anything of it...just dealt with it...then it just seemed to get slower! And now this past 7-8 days they were repairing a server storage issue that made my forum SUPER SLOW and timeout all the time. Pinging the IP resulted with timeouts too. Now they say they fixed the server issue...but my forum still is very slow compared to others...a.nd you can't tell me that EVERY SINGLE forum is on Dedicated hosting...a couple I'm on are on shared hosting sites and run fine.
I'm way past the 30 day refund and i know they wont give me a refund...their tech support sucks, giving vaque answers or trying to blame my ISP or the phpBB software...and sometimes when I asked a specific question..they'd reply with something totally unrelated!
I've had enough with globat...i rather lose the money i paid for a year of hosting then sit on this crappy slow server!
The only good thing I can say about them is that downloads off my server were decent and they do give you a lot of space and tranfer per month. I was transfering about 140-200gb/month and never questioned why or what was I transfering....so if you're looking to just host files...its nto THAT bad.
Avoid this host if you can
