Just check some web hosting comparison sites (like http://www.webhostingspotter.com ,or just google for some) and you will see that all top hosts are overselling.And stuff like free domain names or 50$ Adwords/Yahoo credits are nothing special these days

I am normally looking for something like live chat, e-mail, trouble ticket etc support as well as a contact number (from within the country, i.e. a UK number). Basically great features and technical support are the things I look for. I don't mind paying the price for them either if they are good enough!

If I was picking between a company that had just normal cPanel, and then another with cPanel and Fantastico, I'd know who I would go with!

They do come in very handy sometimes when you want some software (i.e. a messageboard) but can't be bothered to upload all the files and go through the installation process!

No Hidden Cost.

Clear cut simple to understand resources and limitations. MySql = YES does not mean anything. MySql = 100 @ 100 mb each with 50,000 connections per hour limit should be the detailed information

Describe all the Cost up front and Provide a link to the document which describes in detail all the additional charges.

Ofcourse without reliablity and 24/7 support everything else is useless.
