im kind of new to these forums and i have been doing searches on google and came upon this site, im having problems with my avatar, maybe im in the wrong site...but does any one know where i can host a avatar so i can use it in my posts?? if not then thank you very much for your time.

What type of problem are you having?

If your looking for somewhere to upload your avatar to the web, there are lots of free web hosting services out there. You could upload it to one of those and point the image url for this in your avatars option.

thank you soo much...well im not really having a problem its just i dont know how to set it up...i want this picture for my avatar, here is the link..http://images.google.com/images?q=m...G=Google+Search , the picture is in the 2nd row, the 3rd pic with a blue background, so how can i use it as my avatar? thank you for your help, i appreciate it

First of all, its too big to be an avatar. You would need to use something like photoshop to scale it down.

Before you can use this avatar , you should ask permission from the website owner ( although most people don't bother ).

I would first get permission to use it, then scale it down to a decent size, then just upload it to the forum/s you wish to use it on.

Some of the forums you are using may not allow files to be uploaded. If that is the case, you will need to point the avatar option in your control panel to point to the image on the web. Webmasters don't like this method, since you are illegally using their bandwidth by doing this, since everytime the avatar is displayed it would be called from their web server. Although you could save the file to your harddrive and upload to a free hosting service , then point the avatar url to this location.

Its pretty simple really, but i am sorry - i am not the best person in explaining things.
