CSS to stretch height of html table?

Is it possible to use css to stretch the height of a table? I am playing around with a new design for my forums at http://www.hostcompanies.com/forums/?styleid=5 and i want the table on the right that displays my adverts to strech to the bottom of the screen.

As the pages are forum pages the height of each page is different.

Is css the correct way to do this?

CSS would be the better method to use.

Something like:
Code:
<table id="table1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="width=100%; height=100px;">

Well i have tryed this but its still not working. If you choose style blue for this forum you will see a new bar on the right hand side with some adverts in - i would like to get this to stretch down to 100% of the screen. I have tryed setting the height to 100% in html and css and still it stays the same. This is very strange.
