Which resolution to use for graphical sticker?

I have been asked to do a favour for someone. They basically want a red circle with a price list written up.
This will then be printed out onto a sticker and placed on a record which they will hang in their shop window.

I know that the recommended resolution for the web is 72.

Does anyone know what resolution i should use for a graphic that will be printed out onto a sticker?

I have since learned that 300dpi is the best resolution for print.

Depends on what the printer that will be used can do, imo.

an image that is under 600x600pixel would be best at between 350 and 500dpi, over that I'd go as high as 1200 dpi to get crisp edges and no "jaggies" on the print

For printing graphical designs on to a sticker a resolution of 300 to 350 dpi is good..
