Encrypting Code
Does anyone know if using PHP/HTML encryption solutions like CodeLock can result in spidering/search engine positioning problems?

No. This will never cause any problems with Search Engines and Spiders because Search engines see the sites same as any other visitor of your website. The only difference is they see the text version. That means they will see the decrypted version of your website i.e. pure HTML etc.
