Soon this web hosting directory will finally be finished after many set backs. We lost our core programmer working on the backend due to personal problems. We now have another programmer who is attempting to finish the work ( around 99% complete ).

One thing which hostcompanies lacks is good descent original content based around the hosting industry.
I would like to see if anyone would be interested in writing some good quality hosting articles for this website.
Sadly we are working on a tight budget as our funds our limited and i cannot offer any payment for the articles.
But you will recieve a link back to your website as the author of the article.

The articles must be 100% original and must not be used on any other websites.
Ideally we would like some regular volunteers to write the articles, as we aim to build up a solid reputation in the hosting industry.

If the articles are exclusive to hostcompanies.com i could place your logo and description on the featured hosts page - http://www.hostcompanies.com/feauturedcompanies.htm .

After you have written 15 articles - if you decide to stop writing them i will keep your logo and description on that page for a further 6 months.
Or if i decide i no longer want the articles written ( as long as you wrote atleast 15 ) i will keep your link there for a further 6 months.
But you must allow me to keep the articles written.

You would also get your link and a profile page listing details about your company. The links for this would be at the bottom of each article and would always be there ( as long as i display the articles ).

How does that sound?

I just have three questions
1-the word exclusive in your email does it mean that i can't put this article even in my website?
2-Is it logic to tell me that stop writing in the 14th article not to be able to have the six month offer?
3- I'm now writing my 1st article to you when i finish it (week by week) when it will be displayed in your site and when i can send you my company logo and profile to have it advertised by your site

After answering my question I will send you my 1st article and company logo and profile

Well i would like to have a collection of exclusive articles written for use only with this website so that the articles are 100% unique.
Most web hosting articles are reproduced on various other sites and that takes away the usefullness of them. Having unique content will bring visitors back to this directory rather than having them read an article and realising they have read the same thing somewhere else. I get offers from other directories to display their articles on this site with a link back to them, so i could in fact get 100's of free articles if i wanted to - but they would not be unique and not add any original content to my site.
However you could write a similar article on your site with the same theme as long as it was written in another form so that it did not look in anyway identical to the articles written here.

Its not logical to think that if you wrote 14 articles that i would not give you any extra advertising on the featured hosts page. I am a reasonable person and fair. The reason i stated 15 articles is that it would be unfair if i suddenly did not want the articles any more and just immedietly removed your ad from the featured hosts page, however i don't want to have to place your advert there forever and need an option to opt out should i choose. So in that sense i would give you 6 months more if you wrote 15. If you wrote 10 -14 i would give you some more months but not 6 - if you wrote 2-3 i might just give you a couple of weeks. So i left it to my descretion until you reach 15 articles. But i am reasonable i would not give you just one more month if you did a fair amount of articles like 7-9 for example.

As soon as i see the first article i would then read it and see if its what i am looking for. I may not like it or it may not be exactly what i am looking for. Either way, if i decide to display it and as soon as it is displayed i will place your links up.

So basically these rules are just to protect the both of us so that we are happy with the exchange.

I think to write articles is not a big deal but I think the big deal is how to make these articles homogenuous so i suggest to make these articles as a series of articles 1st we will talk about definition of web hosting and then about features and go step by step deeper to make the reader interested in reading and waiting fpr the next articles and this is the way my articles will be so i wrote the 1st article (definition Of web hosting) and will begin in writing the next one (featues of web hosting) but i want an email address to send the 1st article on it to give it to you to put it in the same format so I ll send it in a .doc file as an attatchment
so I need an email address to send to?

I have been busy setting up a article hack for this forum - http://www.hostcompanies.com/forums/article.php . I am just in the middle of testing it, then i can assign you privileges to post on the article section. You can place your name as the author on the bottom and your link. I will then copy the article over to another part of my website which isnt on the forums - which will also include your name and link.
And i can then also setup your advertisment at http://www.hostcompanies.com/feauturedcompanies.htm .

So the articles will appear on the new article section on the forums and also in an article section on a normal html page links from the main part of my site - www.hostcompanies.com .

Give me a few days to make sure the article system is working ok and then i will inform you when you can use it.

How does that sound?

I have now enabled you to post articles in the article section. You can post articles in the exclusive article section.

If you want to you can also post other articles you have already written in the article section ( there is two sections, one for exlusive and the other for normal articles ).

Although to get the advertising link at http://www.hostcompanies.com/feauturedcompanies.htm you would have to write exclusive articles.

So post your first article in there and i will let you know what i think.

Sorry... i had a look at the article but it realy isnt the type of thing i was looking for. There were several spelling mistakes and the grammer was bad and reading it did not inspire me in any way.

I am just being honest.
I am not going to use the article... however i am a fair person and for your time i will give you 1 month advertising in the featured hosts page anyhow.

If you can look at the other hosts on that page and provide a graphic and your description.. i will do it for you.
