As you may or may not know, we lost our hacks when upgrading to vb3 ( smile panel and vbstats ) - these hacks do not work on vb3. The good news it that the developers are working on vb3 versions but it may be a few weeks / months before they are ready. I do apologise for the smilies being all over the place, i will clean this up soon to get ready for the new smilie panel hack.

This time round i intend to add some very useful hacks to this version of vb, there will be many hacks to come.

This thread will be used to announce new hacks.

Quick Reply in Private Messages Hack Added

This hack allows you to send a quick reply in private messages, much like the quick reply in threads.

Quick Thread in Forums Hack Added

This hack allows you to create a new thread in forums using a quick thread box ( similar to quick reply in threads ). Very useful - saves time.

Quick Edit Hack Added

With this hack it is now possible to edit posts without having to load the editpost page. In all your posts will be a small Quick Edit icon inbetween edit and quote (users will only see it in posts which belong to them).. When you click it a small text box will instantly drop down below your post allowing you to edit it instantly in the thread itself.
This will save you a lot of time when fixing those spelling mistakes, typos, or broken links.

Smillies In Quick Reply Hack Added
With this hack you can now see smillies in the quick reply box. Depending on your user settings the smillies appear on a box to the right of the quick reply or in a drop down menu generated from an icon next to the quote icon.
If you want to see it in the drop down menu - you will need to go into your control panel and select edit options - then enable wysiwyg mode.

Statistics Hack Added
Just installed a new hack, statistics for the board. Its pretty cool, you can check it out here - http://www.hostcompanies.com/forums/statistik.php .

I will be adding a link to the main template soon as i update the design of the template slightly. Over the next few weeks there will be several new hacks added to the forums giving the board a complete new level of depth.
