Smile limited connectivity

you need to configure you TCP/ip settings in network properties...double click the lan icon on task bar...select properties under general tab...highlight tcp/ip and select properties...do not use obtain an ip address automatically and here you must set your ip address eg..192.168.1.2/255 the subnet mask is automatic and your default gateway is usually 192.168.1.1 the same must be done for the dns server. the alternate dns is usually the default gateway. use a search engine for dns server for addresses. This worked for me xp and vista. good luck!
