hmm as a hosting company targeted banner ads are proberply working - banners on online internet magazines and that stuff
may be you also want to think about payed ads on google...
but thats proberply expensive as there are lots of hosting companies doing this
I'd suggest to place ads in big webmaster eZines - ezines and newsletter ads work the best in my opinion
