I'm having the same problem that jhellen is having, where my computer doesn't play ANY sound and it says that there's no mixer device.
I can only find Volume Controls in the Control Panel.

I'm not sure exactly what to tell you but I have an Averatec Windows XP Home Edition with an AMD mobile processor.
It says, 3280 Series MODEL NO.: 3280 Series

Tell me if you need more info and I'll try to give it to you.

Please, I need any help I can get! Thanks!
