Whimper.. help?
I'm getting the same problem after Downloading that SP2 pack, at least I believe that's the name of it. I can get online, but I keep getting booted every few minutes.
I've tried the following...
- Right click your Broadband connection in Network Connections
- Choose Properties
- Choose Internet Protocol
- Click Properties
- Choose the General Tab and click Advanced
- Choose the Options Tab
- Click TCP/IP Filtering and then Properties
- Uncheck Enable TCP/IP filtering (or check all 'permit all' options)
But it didn't help. I want to try the below...
- Goto Network Connections
- In the Advanced menu, choose Advanced Settings
- In the Adapters and Bindings tab, uncheck all Microsoft TCP/IP version 6 checkboxes
- Clap your hands
But... I can't find where to go. This is what I've done to get to Network Connections
- Start
- Control Panel
- Network and Internet Connections
- Network Connections
- Stare blankly at the screen *
* reason: When I open network connections it shows dial up, below that America Online, below that LAN or High-Speed Internet and under that the Local Area Connection showing the two omputers with the exclaimation point between them.
Am I going into the wrong area or is my Windows XP Home Edition different from others?
Please help.
