When i was checking analytics i noticed under browsers that FF was still only 15 % compared to IE at 80 %. I expected FF to be a lot more popular by now, just wondering what others are experiencing.

Personally i think those stats are wrong because everyone i know now uses either Firefox or Google Chrome.
IE does tend to render the odd webpage that for some reason Firefox or Chrome doesn't but it is so slow at times.
When i view pages in IE they often take ages to appear and IE often crashes - this is the latest version. I think IE has gone backwards and not forwards and other browsers understand that speed is king.
It is like this - in
SEO content is king at the moment (apart from a few rare examples) and in the browser world speed is king.
Maybe a lot of people still use IE because the internet is growing and many of these people do not know much about it but after a while they soon hear about Firefox or others and try them.
I find many do not go back to IE.
A lot of the stats on browser rankings are taken from the near past and many taken from companies that have certain web stats installed on the server. Most companies still use IE because they feel it is more secure and many companies do not allow their employees to install software such as browsers.
My point is that the browser stats out there are not that reliable and real figures may differ a lot.
That said - most people still use IE because most are not that web savvy and that keeps the stats up but very soon FF and Chrome will overtake IE as it really is a poor browser from such a big company.
I don't think Microsoft has the right team in place to keep or gain good ground on the net because they are so far removed from the real world and the user base.
