I've got no scientific data to back it up, but Chrome just feels "snappier" to me than FireFox. It also manages system resources MUCH better by creating a separate process for each tab you open, and freeing those resources when you close the tab. In Firefox, it is easy to run up 100MB, 200MB, 300MB+ of memory usage if you keep the browser open for any period of time.
That being said, Chrome still struggles a bit with Flash content on the Mini, but I think the Mini in general struggles with Flash intensive web sites regardless of the browser.
